This intimate and cozy space is a great spot to enjoy Dominican coffee, light meals, snacks and refreshments. A family decided that wanted to have a place where their friends, family and acquaintances could come together to share good conversation over good coffee, good picaderas, good drinks and good music.

Cafeteria Restaurante El Conde (at Hotel Conde Peñalba)
Located on the ground floor of the Hotel Conde de Peñalba this is a great place to people watch, relax with a drink or enjoy a tasty, inexpensive meal. They serve great assortment of dishes, including typical Dominican, Spanish, Italian, and Chinese. The Lunch special, La Bandera, is usually a very tasty, low priced and typically Dominican. Their Spanish omelet is quite good also. Nice place for a fresh ground cup of Dominican coffee, natural juices and of course cold Presidente beer.

Canario Patio Lounge
José Alberto El Canario, well-known Dominican salsa singer, opened his bar with an environment full of spontaneity, glamour and fun with a great garden patio. They have a full menu with lots of specials and many of the drinks are named after Jose Albertos' artist friends. There is also many pictures and the El Canario Wall of Fame, a wall where the visiting artists sign. This is a good place to go dancing

Casa Del Caribe
This original Restaurant-Boutique has a beautiful custom made open grill (parilla in Spanish) where they barbeque serving Sandwiches, Burgers Tapas and more. There is also a beautiful Spanish courtyard where one can dine or relax in what feels like open air yet it is air-conditioned. The Cigar Salons is a smokers haven. The Mojito Bar boasts over 200 types of Mojitos. The bar has many different music events including Karaoke and live music plus there is an in-house DJ. They also have a big screen TV where you can enjoy watching some sports with friends. There is lots of space for groups and private parties.

Casa de Teatro
A group of friends got together and wanted to open something different and in 1974 Casa de Teatro was born. Art exhibitions, live music from local and international musicians, theater, poets, dancers and just about any type of entertainment or art you could imagine. All under one roof. You will see all age groups enjoying the bar and activities because of the wide variety of entertainment offered. There is always something happening at the Casa. The atmosphere is very casual. It is one of the places in the Colonial City that offeres a wide variety of art and entertainment for you to enjoy.
Hours: The gallery is open Monday thru Thu: 9AM to 1PM then again opening at 2:30PM until 1AM and on Friday they are open until 3AM - Saturday 2:30AM until 3AM.

Casa Olivier Restaurant & Lounge
This deli, restaurant and bar is a mix of European tradition, a little bit of France with some Dominican accent thrown in to recreate a mixed taste of Spanish, French and Dominican cuisine. They have a wide variety of tapas and cocktails at the bar. Here you can relax, enjoy. They have live music on Fridays and also a live pianist on different days. The other days the music is soft which makes the perfect atmosphere for a nice dinner or enjoying drinks and tapas with friends. You can sit on the over stuffed lounge chairs, at the bar or at a table, whichever is your preference. They also do catering and have take-out available.

"Burgers with a touch of Serbia" If you are not sure what that is you must go and try it out. It is a fast food place specializing in the "Chimi", the Dominican name for Burger, with dishes prepared with the freshest products. Their Pita Burger they serve as one of their many reasonable priced lunch specials (usually around RD$200) is tasty. A great place to stop to get a snack after the bar closes.
