A large , Dominican gift type shop. This large mall type building is located in the center of town, the closest thing to a down town Santo Domingo has. It is a very colorful area where one can but almost anything you desire and most of the time you do not even need to enter a building to do it. Inside the Mercado there are vendors selling all types of Dominican and Non-Dominican Souvenirs and goods.  It is complete chaos and an experience that all should have when visiting the country. The colors, the people, the foods, the non-stop pace here is a for sure good time.

Here is sold: lotions and perfumes, amulets, prayers, stamps, and pictures of saints, birds, oils, all souvenirs , paintings, food, cigars, just about anything you could want. Make sure you barter a little bit.

This art/gift shop is very unique and does make you feel as if you are someplace special. The entrance is painted beautifully and the displays are very eye appealing. There are many crafts, art, jewelry and some clothing here that you will not find just anywhere.

This is a great gift shop. They specialize in Larimar, Amber. There are many paintings and art by Dominican artists and Haitians alike. Their prices are great. The owners and employees here are very friendly and helpful. Ask for Willy and if you need a little help in English Mamita can always help. When you come in ask for a taste of Mamajuana.
