The Louvre in Santo Domingo World famous art from The Louvre of Paris on exhibit in Santo Domingo,Independence Park in Colonial Zone. Walk or drive around and see the full-sized reproductions of some of the museum's most famous paintings. "Images from the Louvre" displays six centuries of European paintings, from the Middle Ages to the first half of the 19th Century, with 122 reproductions and artwork including Leonardo Da Vinci, Rafael Sanzio, Diego Velasquez, and Dominican-born Theodore Chasseriau. The outdoor exhibit is open to the public. |
