Dominican Republic is known as one of the best golf destinations in the Caribbean. There are over 20 golf courses, nine championship golf courses, and several others under construction. Many have a beautiful ocean and mountain views at the same time. You can't find this just anyplace in the world. The country promotes itself as a major international golf destination. Some of the best courses can be found at Casa de Campo, Dientes de Perro (Teeth of the Dog), Gran Diablo Links, Playa Dorada (which was designed by Robert Trent Jones), La Romana Country Club, and Santo Domingo Country Club.
