Sunrise in the early morning hours taken on June 2013 over the Rio Ozama and the Caribbean Sea taken while standing on Calle las Damas in Zona Colonial, Republica Dominicana. You can see (from left to right) the outline of the Torre del Homenaje and the Armory Polvorín de Santa Bárbara in the Fortaleza Ozama, You can see the top of a ship in the port looming over the trees and the buildings lining the oldest street in Las Americas, Calle las Damas. +click image to enlarge

These pictures (top and bottom) are the sun rising over the Fortelaza Ozama in the Colonial Zone, the original city of Santo Domingo, on different days. The top picture you can see the factory located across the Ozama River on the left. The ruins of the Fort of Santiago/ Fortaleza de Santiago are looking eerie under the fire sky.  The bottom picture is the suns lights shining brightly through the clouds with the dark Arsenal/ Armory Polvorín de Santa Bárbara on the far left. +click images to enlarge
