Instructions for using IRUTA
IRUTA is great for finding directions. The only problem is its in spanish. Just put the street where it says Calle, number of the place, if you know it (numero). The road it crosses (esquina). Enter what area you want to look in. For most places in this site you would enter Zona Colonial or you can leave it blank. Enter Ver Mapa! and you should see where you want to go.
Purchase your map before you arrive here or to buy a map when you are in Colonial Zone go to
Mapas Gaar S.A. for a wide selection of maps of the entire country. They have one of the best selections of maps in the area.

The map of Colonial Zone with all the monuments and places marked is a map in work. I will add items as I find them and have time to add. If you hold your mouse over a spot that is linked a little pop up window will appear and show you what is at that spot. Click on the spot and it will take you to the description or picture of that spot.
Take some time and look at the old maps we ave collected. They are very interesting.
