Pat´e Palo European Brasserie
This restaurant is located where the very first tavern in the Americas once existed. This restaurant-café is named after and decorated for the famous pirate Pat´e Palo. He was known for loving good food and good women, his two great passions. They have casual dining in the bar area, dining room or on the patio served by pirate-dressed waiters. This is a very popular restaurant so if you want to be guaranteed a table make a reservation.

Paco Cafeteria also known as Paco's
This restaurant has been here for many years. Located at the entrance to Calle el Conde and Independencia. This place is just fun to sit and watch all the humans passing by. At times the traffic from the nearby street can get loud. You will be bothered by
shoe shine boys and people begging but it all good when your enjoying a great cup of coffee, a fresh juice or a ice cold Presidente beer. They have some decent sandwiches (or sometimes you can get a pizza and eat it at their tables). Yet the food is not the draw of the place. Its the location and the colorful people passing by. Late night there is a very diverse group of people that hang out here. It is not the place to be with the family after midnight or if you do like to see people that are a bit free in displaying their sexual preferences.

Momentos
This discotheque needs to be experienced. It is for couples only. It is so dark you cannot see your hand in front of your face. Be careful when drinking, the stirring straw can be a lethal weapon. Do not poke your eye out! Even mixing a drink can be a challenge. But it is fun. If you can't dance it doesn't matter, no one can see you. This is one of the best places to try out your dirty dancing moves without being spotted.
Hours: open in the afternoons to very late in the evening.
