I’m Janette the major writer and gather of information for the Colonial Zone website. I’ve been living in the Dominican Republic since 2001 when I came to the Santo Domingo area and then Colonial Zone.
I’m originally from Pennsylvania, close to Pittsburgh. I went to school in Mars, PA (yea, I am a Martian). I made this website to share what I love about the Dominican Republic with others. What I write comes from my experience and my heart. I never thought it would ever grow and be so popular. Thank you to all who visit my web site for making it what it is today.
