The building was built in 1935 in a beautiful art deco style characteristic of that era. It has undergone several changes to accommodate the structure of the B&B and make comfortable rooms in which to relax and create a home away from home while exploring the riches of the Dominican Republic in terms of history, culture and natural beauty.
Embedded in the community our guests will be able to experience what a typical Dominican neighborhood looks and feels like. We are across the street from a “Colmado, which is a typical Dominican style convenience store, a block away from a neighborhood barbershop, and a few blocks away from the Caribbean Sea. Our guests will be able to immerse themselves in the local culture if that is what you’d like.
The history and charm of the oldest city in “The Americas” are all within walking distance. One of the major historical landmarks of the city, Independence Park (Parque Independencia) is only 1 block away. Many other significant places include Calle El Conde, Independence Cemetary, El Malecon, The first Cathedral of the Americas, Columbus Park, and much more. Also within walking distance are great restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
I invite you to come and stay in my home, and for a little while, make it yours.
